Be careful with the waterfall route suggested by the agency through Mr. Alfredo. It isn't a good idea unless you're an experienced hiker. The place has no air conditioning, so I wouldn't choose it for a summer stay. Breakfast isn't included, and there's no bar ticket either, unlike some other places that don't provide breakfast.

San Fele is a lovely little village with all you might need, from places to eat, bars, and pastry shops to waterfalls and fresh air.

Stay away! The houses are dusty, and I found bed bugs. I noticed odd bites all over me from the first night and initially thought mosquitoes were to blame. On the third day I checked under the mattress and found a nest. I left and unfortunately ended up in the emergency room. Seeing three kinds of insecticide in the bathroom says a lot. This needs a specialist pest-control company, not this approach. The owner, Alfredo, keeps renting the place as if nothing happened, leaving unlucky guests to bear the cost. Terrifying, it needs disinfestation.

The view was spectacular, and the room felt like home. It was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Our host was so kind and helpful. We left a stuffed animal behind, and Alfredo mailed it back at his own expense. Highly recommended.
