The property is stunning, and the pictures that first drew us to Le Capanne don’t really do it justice. It’s a peaceful, wonderful wedding venue, and several people came up to tell us how impressed they were with Vera. She and Dario did an incredible job planning and running our wedding. When rain came on the day, Vera and the team quickly and thoughtfully helped us put together a Plan B inside the villa for the party. They were efficient and so helpful. It was worth every penny, and we’ll definitely return for family vacations. It’s just perfect for that.

Our wedding at Le Capanne was two weeks ago, and we’re still in the magical bubble. We’d visited other venues, and online photos hadn’t made this our first choice. But Vera replied to my email so quickly, professionally, and warmly that we decided to see it too. The moment we arrived, we knew. The scenery around the house and garden is breathtaking from every angle, like a painting. We’d struggled to find a place with a nice interior, since so many Tuscan homes feel old-fashioned inside. Le Capanne is light and fresh while still keeping that Tuscan feel. Vera and Dario welcomed all our questions when we visited and always came up with solutions. They know weddings inside out, and you can hire Vera as a coordinator or planner. Having someone on site who already knows the vendors is a real plus, and as a native English speaker, Vera made communication easy. Dario’s family is well known in Volterra for pastries and catering. People there will tell you they make the best food and cakes, and Dario’s ‘Nonno and Nonna’ cook at the venue themselves for weddings. Their food and traditional wedding cake were amazing. The pizza party the day before had its own great vibe, and was a perfect preview of the wedding festivities. We knew we’d found the right place, but our guests being blown away by Le Capanne’s beauty and the way the two days were organized made it even better. Our host provided an unusually high level of service, and we couldn’t fault any part of our stay. The converted farmhouse in the Tuscan hills is spacious and very well equipped.

We had our wedding here in September and were overwhelmed by how beautiful the place is. Dario and his team made us feel at home and organized a wonderful day. The food was delicious, the views incredible, and the rooms very comfortable. I’d do it all again in a heartbeat!
