Its location made the weekend easy: the seafront is nearby, with private, equipped, and public beaches, and the main street's shops, bars, ice cream places, restaurants, and newsstands are close too. I stayed with my family for a long weekend. It's a modest guesthouse, but Mrs. Fabiana and her family were exceptionally kind. They advised us about the beaches and how to reach the historic center, let us park in front of the B&B, and gave us access to their refrigerator/freezer for cold drinks. They even found a double mattress so the children could sleep better. Those thoughtful gestures really matter. A little more attention to maintenance, or simply breakfast at the bar, might make me more likely to return and give five stars with confidence. These are suggestions, not criticisms. In any case, thank you for the warm welcome and friendliness.

I came away feeling that future guests need a warning. This was a terrible experience, and I don't think a place like this should be operating. You enter through a disused restaurant, cross a courtyard piled with tables and chairs, then reach a completely unsuitable reception area: an abandoned restaurant counter and a room with gym equipment arranged oddly. The exposed tableware looked cheap and possibly unhygienic. To get to the bedroom, we walked through a dirty, neglected garden full of restaurant furniture left there for ages. The room felt like a cell. The walls were filthy, there were no windows, and the only air and light came through an opening in the entrance door, so there was no privacy. There was an old, dirty, noisy bunk bed, plus a double bed with an old, damp, dirty mattress. The sheets and bedspread were stained and damp as well. A small, old, dirty cabinet was fixed partway up the wall as a towel rack. The tiny wooden cube intended as a closet was dirty and out of reach. The bathroom door couldn't open fully because it hit the bed. The bathroom itself was acceptable despite its many flaws. The humidity set off severe allergies through the night. Paying anything for a place that makes you ill is unacceptable. I hope the health department closes it immediately. It's absurd for guests expecting a pleasant, restful holiday night to end up in what feels like a cell from a nightmare, and I can't understand how a place like this is allowed to host people.

We happened upon the place during a September weekend and were glad we did. Fabiana, the owner, was warm and very kind. Our triple room was spacious and clean, the linen was fresh and changed every day, and breakfast was generous, varied, and really fresh. The main street is only a few steps away. We had a lovely stay.

The location was the one good thing. The sheets were dirty, the wardrobe was broken, and a weird hanging cube meant to be a closet was awkward to use. Details seemed neglected, breakfast was poor, and some items felt discounted. For what was offered, the price of a double room for one person was far too high. I wouldn't go back.
