Camping Europa Silvella

I liked the pitches by the water, the dog wash, and the restaurant staff. The gate needs a wristband to open, but people who weren’t staying on site could still come in from the lake because it’s so shallow. Some were right in front of our pitch, playing loud music and smoking weed. The site could use more general cleaning too. A cotton bud and a used plaster stayed on the ground outside the toilet block for all five nights we were there.

We had pizza and an Aperol at the restaurant, then enjoyed the spacious campsite and the privacy between pitches. There’s plenty to do on site, and the pool area looked lovely, though we didn’t use it. We also found some nice walks around the lake. The facilities were clean, and the shop had all the essentials. The woman working there during our stay was so friendly. We stayed one night on a two-week trip around Europe with our dog, and would definitely come back for longer.

The small supermarket was convenient and had what we needed at reasonable prices. The place is clean and well maintained, and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Still, it’s very expensive, and there are some real drawbacks. The lakefront is mostly taken up by boat docks and buoys, leaving only a small strip of beach. The water seemed very dirty everywhere, while other stretches were just rocks or a wall, so swimming didn’t feel inviting. The photos show two big pools, but with hundreds of rooms they get so crowded there’s hardly space in the water, and it’s extremely noisy. Our room was tidy and clean, but cramped and very small, and the beds were uncomfortable.

The staff were amazingly friendly, well trained, and helpful. Nothing seemed too much trouble, and the restaurant food and service were fantastic. The mini mart had the essentials we needed, and the showers and toilets were plentiful and impeccably clean. Set on Lake Garda, the pitches were arranged to give some privacy. It’s an expensive park, but I was happy to pay for the service. My only gripe was the 5G black spots we ran into. A perfect place for families or couples, and highly recommended.
