We spent five nights at Hotel San Filis on our honeymoon in August 2019, and it exceeded our expectations. The staff made us feel welcome from arrival right through checkout, even giving us a lovely goodbye greeting written on the receipt from the staff and all the hotel animals. Guiliano, the hotel cat, is part of the place's special atmosphere. He seems to spend his time lounging in the courtyard or elsewhere around the hotel. It's animal-friendly too, and we saw guests and staff with dogs. The hotel is in an old villa in the centre of San Felice del Benaco, with a pretty courtyard and a garden pool for when you don't want to go to the nearby beach. We liked the restaurant enough to eat there several evenings, even with other good restaurants nearby. They also rent electric boats, a lovely way to see Lake Garda. Thanks for a wonderful stay, we'll definitely be back.

I've been traveling to Italy and staying at San Filis hotel ever since I discovered it in the 1990s. The family who owns it always takes good care of guests, and I keep meeting interesting people during my stays. The location is excellent for exploring Northern Italy, between Milano and Venice and right by the famous Italian lakes. I also love the beautiful rooms and the excellent chef.

We had a really good, relaxed stay, and the hotel was a handy base for exploring lake garada. The staff were lovely, especially the receptionist, and the hotel itself was quite nice. Breakfast was a typical buffet, and the marina wasn't too far away. They helped arrange transfers alongside other people arriving and leaving that day. There was a dog around that pooped outside our door the first night, but taking everything into account, things were nice and chill.

Lovely little city and a very nice place to stay. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, and the food was absolutely amazing. Parking options just down the road were okay, and there's a small, well-stocked supermarket close by.
