The sea is just a two-minute walk across the square. Even though it’s near the port, the water is really clear and clean, and the promenade is lovely, tidy, and well maintained. It’s also easy to park nearby, or right at the door, with the local police station across the street. Paid parking inside is available if you ask. Domenico and his sisters give you that friendly village-style welcome and can suggest visits and excursions. There’s a delicious breakfast in the morning, with homemade items and gluten-free choices on request. The rooms have the comforts you’d expect, including air conditioning. There isn’t a TV, but you won’t need one.

The village is peaceful, and the nearby sea is lovely, with pale sand and crystal-clear water. We spent three days here while taking trips around Calabria, and the stay went beyond what we expected. The room was spacious, comfortable, and decorated in a modern, chic style; the bathroom was roomy and had a fantastic shower. We slept very well, and everything was impeccably clean. Breakfast was generous, varied, and high quality, with both sweet and savory options. The hosts were warm, attentive, and ready to help with anything. It’s a good fit if you want to stay away from the noise of tourist cities while visiting Calabria’s gems, which aren’t far from San Ferdinando, including Tropea, Capo Vaticano, and Scilla. We’ll definitely return. A perfect score!

Domenico and Rosa made us feel so welcome, and Domenico shared great tips on places to see during our stay. We also got to enjoy Calabria’s food and wine in the little garden at the property. The room was spotless, and the sheets smelled of lavender. It’s in a handy spot, only steps from the highway and very close to the sea. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend it.
