The owners were very friendly, and the accommodation was spacious and really nice. We stayed three days as a stopover to see Venice, and were very happy there. It was easy to find, too.

I ended up having to find somewhere else to sleep at the end of my second week. I’d first spoken with the owner’s son, then dealt with the owner, Mrs. Michela. I asked about staying in March, confirmed the first 15 days, and said I might need to extend. She kindly agreed to keep me informed about availability as I went along. On March 6th I told her I’d stay through the 21st, then on March 9th I let her know I needed to remain until the 28th. But they accepted another booking for March 21st without telling me. On the 13th, they came by and asked me to leave. I asked for the mother, who had been my contact all along, but they said she was on delegated leave. The daughter said, “We can’t ask a thousand questions about the guests.” No, just one would have done: “Mom, how long are the guests staying?” Moral of the story, always get a written contract when dealing with people who are trying to do this job.

The highway runs very close to the house, but it didn’t bother us. The apartment was lovely and roomy, with two large rooms, a bathroom, kitchen and living room/hallway, and was perfect for four people. The family was very friendly. Knowing a little English or Italian helps with communication. Highly recommended.

We spent Christmas here, and it was worth it! The price was great for a cozy house, and the lady looking after it was very kind and kept everything well maintained. It had everything we needed for a wonderful holiday. We’ll be back, thank you.
