Il balcone di Rina

We especially enjoyed the view of the Tuscan landscape from the bedroom. il Balcone di Rina is a lovely, clean apartment within walking distance of the city center, with everything needed to cook or make breakfast. The landlady made things easy for us, and we enjoyed our four days in San Giminiano even more because of it.

Letizia was friendly, easy to communicate with, full of good advice, and very accommodating. The apartment is spotless and well equipped, with a kitchen that has everything you need, comfortable beds, linens, and towels, and a convenient parking spot. The location is brilliant, and the views are stunning. Don't hesitate to book. Highly recommended, and we'll be back.

We stayed seven nights in October 2022 and four in October 2023, and each time felt we could have stayed a month. Letizia even brought us some of her family's freshly pressed olive oil to try. Getting to know such a wonderful host has been a bonus of staying longer. Her family feels like ours now, and we'll return year after year. I highly recommend ‘IL Balcone di Rina’. Grazie Letizia!!! The apartment is newly renovated with the modern amenities we needed. The kitchen is tidy and well equipped for cooking, including a toaster, kettle, coffee maker, coffee, tea, oil, and spices. The spacious bathroom has a nice shower, plenty of hot water, thick towels, and olive oil bath products. The huge bedroom has beautiful views, windows that open, darkening shutters, lots of storage, and a comfortable large bed with good linens and four lovely pillows. The living and dining areas are relaxing, with comfortable seating and big windows facing the old town. We spent many meals and coffee, tea, wine, and beer times on the little Juliet balcony with its cafe table and two chairs. The location just outside the wall is quiet and safe, with views across the old town from the balcony and countryside from the bedroom window. You can hear the church bells, and there's an easy walk to the town gate and everywhere else. We loved the chickens and ducks in the backyard, and being close to the center while away from the crowds of tour groups and some very rude day visitors. Check-in was easy. Letizia and her son met us when we arrived from Siena, and it's an easy walk from the bus stop. They explained what we needed to know and were available for questions. Letizia was prompt and friendly throughout, from our first messages through checkout. We're a retired couple from California, full-time travelers in our sixth year, so these places become our homes, and we know hosts.
