Simona was great and made sure we had everything we needed. The apartment had a fully stocked kitchen, and I cooked a couple of meals there. Having a refrigerator was handy too. The room was spacious and comfortable, and we had a fantastic stay at Palazzo Mari. Just be aware that it’s two flights of stairs up to the apartment. We knew that beforehand. Parking is in a lot about 500 meters away and costs 15 Euros for 24 hours.

The location is hard to beat, with great restaurants right outside and a quiet room despite being in the centre. The bed was so comfortable, there were plenty of amenities, and Simona was fantastic and very helpful, even when we left hours later than planned. For parking, you can leave the car in one of the lots outside and take the elevator up with your suitcases if you’d rather not drive into the old town. The historic building has no elevator, so it’s not suitable if stairs are a problem. The description made that clear, and it wasn’t an issue for us.

Handy for everything in San Gimignano. The room is nice, and there’s a shared kitchen and sitting area.

We came to Palazzo Mari for our silver wedding anniversary, and Simona Scuarsia, the owner, welcomed us with so much care and charm. She made us feel at home. The location is great, the room cozy and very clean, and guests can use a fully equipped kitchen. We were treated to an unforgettable surprise. We recommend it!

Two nights at palazzo mari and we had a great time in San Gimignano. It had everything we hoped for and more: central, clean, lovely rooms, and great service. We couldn't be more satisfied.
