I can't speak to how the accommodation is now, since we stayed quite a few years ago, before online reviews were around. It was great then, and the setting was pure magic. We flew into Pisa and stayed at San Michelle. The place was tucked among vineyards and olive groves, or it was at the time, and wonderfully quiet. You'll definitely need a hire car, but it made a perfect base for day trips to Florence, Pisa, Sienna and Volterra, as well as many visits to San Gimignano. The kids loved the ice cream shops, and we loved the restaurants. One scene I'll always remember is sitting quietly by the window one evening, watching lightning over San Gimignano during a thunderstorm. Amazing. I'm glad to see it's still available as holiday accommodation. We need to go back.

A large, pleasant house, a beautiful and very peaceful pool, and vineyards and olive groves all around. It's a little secluded, but close to San Gimignano.

We had a fantastic family stay with 10 people. The Tuscan place was charming, the pool was lovely and large, and the location and hosts were wonderful.
