Our courtyard room on the ground floor was spacious, clean, and such a peaceful spot. Maritzia and her staff were kind and helpful, and breakfast each morning had lots of variety and tasted great. The building is ancient and has no air conditioning, but we were there in June and the fan they provided was enough. The city was fantastic. Take a tour with Robert, and be ready for some amazing food and wine. In summer, bring mosquito repellent. The mosquitoes weren’t awful, but we did get a few bites.

The owner was so friendly and gave us restaurant and town tips, plus driving directions. Following them led to the best few-hour drive of our lives through the Tuscan countryside. This was the most unique and authentic place we’ve stayed. We only wish we could have stayed longer, and we’ll definitely come back someday.

We loved having breakfast in the historic palazzo, and the whole team was so friendly. We had to switch rooms because of a bathroom leak left by previous visitors, but Marcia let us know in advance and had another room ready. She was very accommodating, and the new room had a great view and location. We stayed one night on our honeymoon and would happily return. Thanks for everything.

We planned on one night, then decided to stay longer. Marcia pays close attention to every detail. The 12th-century palace is now an exceptionally clean hotel, with a large room and high ceilings. The whole place, from the corridors to the dining and living rooms, has a lovely, relaxing scent. A wonderful experience.
