Taranto is a short drive away, with shops, cafes, takeaways, and restaurants. We used the EasyPark app for parking in the cities and towns while we were out. The hotel was quiet and relaxing, with plenty of space to ourselves, and the staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and more. Our double room was spacious and very comfortable, with an ensuite shower room and a balcony door downstairs opening onto a garden area with chairs and tables where we could sit in the sun by the pool. The breakfast area was nearby, and breakfast was lovely. There was also a restaurant on site. The outdoor pool looked great, though it was closed and too cold to swim when we visited in March. We stayed for a week and left happy and relaxed. Thanks, we'd definitely return.

The service was warm and thoroughly professional, and I felt genuinely welcome throughout the evening. At Villaggio San Giovanni, every detail showed a real commitment to quality, from the beautifully set table to the thoughtful presentation. The romantic, refined atmosphere made a memorable setting for dinner. I had their capunti with delicate crispy capocollo petals, a lovely balance of tradition and creativity. I'd happily experience it again and recommend it to anyone looking for excellent food.

The food was wonderful, and we chose the option that included breakfast and dinner. On earlier work trips I'd stayed in the congested part of the city on the island, which isn't for me. I found this hotel online and tried to book, but couldn't make the reservation online and had to email. It all worked out well. The hotel was very clean, the pool was amazing, and the setting was quiet, peaceful, and beautiful, exactly right for me. The staff were very accommodating. There was plenty of parking, which I really value and appreciate. We'll definitely stay again when work brings us back this way.

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed getting to know the staff and owners. They were patient with our limited Italian and always greeted us with a smile. We're looking forward to coming back next year to see them again.
