An interesting place.

A beautiful location.

I was there for work and came away hoping I won’t need to stay again. The busy intersection nearby is manageable, even if it isn’t ideal. The room felt like a dated little wooden Hobbit hideaway, with a bed sized for a Hobbit, and nothing romantic about it. The bathroom was worse: mysterious hair in the shower, a neglected showerhead, and taps coated with grime. The remote was broken, so the TV stayed on all night on some random channel. Great if your goal is to stay awake. Breakfast was a choice of sweet or savory. For what we paid, my colleague and I expected a cozy farmhouse feel, but got packaged croissants, nearly finished orange juice that who knows how many people had used, four slices of ham, and bread that’s hard to describe in a good way. I was very disappointed. At that price, I expected decent service. I’m from the Marche region and have worked in hotels, so I know what guests look for. Unfortunately, they didn’t get it here. I’d strongly advise against staying. There are other hotels around, and hopefully they’re much better.

There aren’t many spots, so it’s best to reserve ahead. This is a simple, welcoming agriturismo in the countryside outside the capital, with open space and crops all around. We were four, and it worked well for families too. Prices are competitive. There’s no catering service, and unfortunately it hasn’t come back since the lockdown. Highly recommended if you’re after somewhere informal. If you want a refined, elegant place, look elsewhere.
