The walk to San Pio, about seven minutes, was breathtaking, and the bus stop is roughly five minutes away. We rode the bus from Rome to San Giovanni Rotondo, a five-hour trip through beautiful mountain scenery. Michele and his family run the hotel and made my wife and me feel like part of their family. It was spotless, and all the staff were friendly and went out of their way to help us feel at home. Breakfast was awesome, with lovely service and attention. I highly, highly recommend this hotel if you're traveling to this part of the world.

The hotel is about a ten-minute walk from the cathedral, and the accommodation was good for both meals and lodging. The owner welcomed us warmly and treated us so nicely. We especially appreciated the personal touch from him and his wife. We'd gladly return if we pass through again.

I've never stayed anywhere so dirty and run-down...

It's easy to get to both the sanctuary and the town center from here, and private parking is available. I stayed with my family two days ago. The owners were extremely kind and helpful. Our rooms were clean and well ventilated, with doors opening onto a spacious balcony where we could enjoy the fresh air of this beautiful town.

The owners are very available, and for the price, there's nothing to complain about. Breakfast is the weak point: very limited and all sweet, just yogurt, croissant, toast, and jam. It leaves much to be desired.
