The rooms were clean, but that was about the only good thing. The elevator didn’t work, the beds creaked and were very uncomfortable, and the shower was unbelievably small. The food at the hotel next door was absolutely terrible, nothing like what you’d expect from Italian food. In a religious town where people come to see padre pio, they should make more effort to offer good quality products. This was probably one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in.

This building is part of Hotel San Pietro. The rooms are reasonably sized, though the ones on the second floor have very low ceilings. There’s no elevator.
