The room and bathroom were clean, though there was only one outlet and no kettle. It’s a budget place, and the price reflects that. If you know what to expect, you can make it work.

The dining room service has always been attentive and professional, and the food is pretty good. Our group of pilgrims has returned for years. Some stayed in their usual rooms, while others got rooms renovated this year. It’s a decent balance of price, services, and distance from the sanctuary.

The bedding was filthy: dust on the duvet, crumbs in the bed, and dusty stuffed-animal residue underneath. Since I’m allergic to dust, I didn’t sleep all night. I asked to change rooms, but was told it had been cleaned. I was here on a pilgrimage to San Giovanni Rotondo, and the room was uncomfortable and dirty, with unhygienic sheets against the mattress. A terrible stay, like a nightmare. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
