Eden Park Resort

For the price, this quiet, older motel is fair value. It's clean, the staff are friendly, and the location works really well if you're travelling by car. Driving in can be a problem, though. Don't follow the long route Google Maps suggests. Come in from the other side of the road instead, since it's shorter and much safer. The longer way is very narrow, with a ditch along the edge and lots of potholes, so it can be dangerous to drive at night if you don't know the area.

I loved this resort. Our room fit four people, with a queen bed and a sofa that made into a double. There was a bathroom with a shower and a small kitchen with all the utensils, plus our own private patio with a table. The pool was okay and free to use, and there was a bar as well. The staff were friendly and the prices were cheap. Shops, restaurants, and a bus stop are not far away. I especially liked the calm location outside the city.

The apartment was clean and tidy, and the grounds were well kept. It was a lovely, clean place and very quiet when we arrived on Friday. Breakfast was a continental buffet. The pool was nice enough, though being handed a swimming hat when we got there was a bit odd. You'll need a car.

My husband liked having a fridge and freezer, a private kitchen with basic appliances, a TV, and air conditioning. I found the place old, dirty, and worn down. The mattress was good, but the bed itself was old and noisy, with tears in the fabric. In the shower, the water was either scalding hot or freezing cold, and there was visible mold and similar grime in the bathroom.
