Mimmo's Holiday House

The waterfalls were our favorite place to unwind, and Simone had helpful ideas for little outings and knew good restaurants nearby. We spent two weeks at Mimmo's Holiday House with our family, two adults and three small children. Simone was around whenever we needed him, while still giving us space. The view is gorgeous, and the old house is cool, comfortable, cozy, simply furnished, and very well equipped. We also got to use a newly opened section, so there was loads of room for all of us. It really felt like a dream holiday, and for once we’re already saying we’ll come back. A few travel times: Doccione Waterfall is about 15 minutes away, Florence is around an hour by train plus 20 minutes to the station, Lago di Ridracoli takes about an hour, Pisa two hours, and San Marino two hours. The mountain setting is great for motorcyclists, especially on the winding roads at weekends, and you can hear them from the house, though it wasn’t really disruptive. The last few hundred meters to the house are on a steep, partly paved track. Just take it slowly and it’s fine. There’s plenty of time on holiday anyway.
