I’ve been returning to B&B Croara several times a year for the past 10 years, sometimes just for a weekend and sometimes for a longer holiday. It has a family feel but still runs professionally. The Madrigali family’s products at breakfast are delicious, the owners are lovely, and the staff are great. There’s free Wi-Fi too. What I like most is the calm feeling of being surrounded by greenery, with very little traffic noise from the road next door. It’s easy to reach by car or bus, and one bus stop is about 50 meters away.

The hillside setting is peaceful and offers lovely views, making it a good break from the daily rush. The property is just outside the center of San Lazzaro di Savena, only minutes from the center and close to Bellaria. Service is very fast, and I think it’s excellent value, which is why I’m giving it five stars. This historic part of town also has a farm offering traditional organic goods like olive oil and wine, alongside bed and breakfast.

Just outside Bologna, this B&B was clean, welcoming, and comfortable, with great attention to detail. Breakfast featured organic local produce and homemade cakes. I’d recommend it to anyone.
