The breakfast was amazing and kept me full all day. I stayed with this family for a few days recently, in a traditional-style room with a very comfortable bed. The mountain setting was beautiful and peaceful, and I’d be happy to stay here again.

For a couple of days in the mountains, this is a typical lodge where you can stay comfortably. It’s quiet and pleasant, a long way from civilization, and the host was welcoming and very kind. Our room was quite basic, but had nearly everything we needed, including a kettle, which matters a lot to me as a tea lover. The standard rooms are relatively expensive, so I would have liked a few more things included, such as breakfast, some way to get food at night, toiletries, tea or coffee.

We had to cancel our trip, and even though the free cancellation period had passed, they let us cancel without a charge. That kind of goodwill isn’t something I take for granted these days.

The lady was very cold with us and immediately wanted to know whether we’d pay by card or cash. We were in the emergency room that night and had to leave the apartment early the next morning on the doctor’s orders. She didn’t ask how we were, and still wanted us to pay extra for the night we spent in the emergency room. For us, that was anything but kindness. The apartment was tiny and neither clean nor well maintained. We found a dirty cotton pad under the shower mat, the front door wouldn’t lock, and my husband had to climb in through the window. From the reviews, I’d expected the staff to at least be kind.
