We were a group of 15 and had rented two apartments, but the listing gave us the impression that the whole house with its pool was for rent. Other families were there too. The beds were folding tourist beds set into wooden frames, and we found them very uncomfortable. Apartments 4 and 5 each had a kitchen that was really only big enough for one person. There was no dishwasher, electric kettle, washing machine, or hot bubbling tub in the garden. The house sits at about 1,100 meters, around 10 degrees colder than Pistoia. The drive from Pistoia takes about 10 minutes on the flat, then 50 minutes uphill. Be careful about what the description says.

I felt misled by the stay. In August it was freezing up there, much colder than down below, and getting there meant about an hour of steep driving. Our car overheated, the clutch burned out, and passing along the route was difficult. The beds were camp beds and uncomfortable, and there weren't dishwashers in the rooms.

The view is lovely, and the pool was fine. The rooms were okay too, though a fresh coat of paint and some more thoughtful furniture would help. The place is quite remote, with only a couple of other farmhouses nearby and the closest shop about twenty minutes away. At night and early morning there were odd plumbing noises. The kitchen and bathroom badly need updating. The bathroom's 1980s design was awful and took up space, and a nicer bathroom would make the place feel cared for and give guests a bit of comfort. The guests seemed to come and go quickly. If you're looking for an agriturismo, I'd choose one with a bar and restaurant that sells its farm products, since that suggests a professional operation.

It takes about an hour to drive up the hill. The place is at 1,200 meters above sea level.

We had a simple stay in a really scenic spot. There's plenty of space and the essentials are provided. They also gave us firewood when we lit the fireplace. I'd recommend it if you're happy with a fairly basic vacation. We had a lovely time and highly recommend it.
