The place itself is pretty, and the rooms are nice enough, with small but clean bathrooms. Still, four nights left us feeling unwelcome for the first time anywhere. The owner seemed offended or resentful all the time for no clear reason. Breakfast was small and terribly repetitive, and dinner at 8 pm came in such huge portions that it was hard to sleep afterwards. We were told on arrival that lunch wasn't available, so we had to go to the nearest village to find food in the middle of the day, even though the website says lunch is an option. After 10 am the owners would disappear and lock the main building until 5 pm. I know siesta matters in this country, but come on. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

We happened on this place by chance while looking for a river swim, and stayed for an end-of-day aperitif instead. The food and drinks were delicious, and the owner and staff made us feel so welcome. It's such a peaceful, lovely spot. We'll definitely come back and stay overnight next time. Well done!!🫶
