Hotel Pfandleralm

We paid 290 for two nights, and the stay had a number of problems from check-in onward. We arrived at 11:45. The girl at reception spoke only German, not Italian or English, and was very curt. Her directions weren't helpful, though I see that as a management issue rather than her fault. The initial cleanliness seemed okay, but not great, and the rugs could have been vacuumed. In the room, the old sheets had holes and there was hair between the two pillows. The rest was okay, but the floor needed a better vacuum. We were given just two small shower soap sachets and one bar for the sink. The bed was okay, though the pillows were much too thin. The shower had excellent hot water. Breakfast had a good selection, but only cold items, apart from eggs made to order, which were good. We left at 9:20 and came back at 10 to find the room had been refreshed. They'd only made the bed and changed the towels. There was no soap or toilet paper refill, and the floor hadn't been swept or vacuumed, though it's hardwood and would be quick to clean. At 9:45 the next day, housekeeping knocked to ask if we were leaving, even though checkout was at 11. That didn't feel professional. The maid spoke only German, not English or Italian.
