Corte di Frara

We ended up leaving, even though all we'd done was laugh together a little. We're 10 friends, all 25, and had said when booking that it was for a birthday and we might make some noise. We were told afternoons were fine, as long as things were quiet after 8:00 PM. It was 3:30 PM on a Saturday, and there was no shouting or swearing. The pool was allowed, and the kids took a few dips, joking about how cold the water was. We're used to traveling and know how to behave in public; we've never had this sort of problem before. Then the manager showed up very angry and told us to change our behavior completely. He said this wasn't Gardaland or a resort, that we hadn't understood anything, and threatened several times to report us and call the police. One of us apologized and said we'd tone it down, but he then demanded everyone's documents. The place is out in the fields and we hadn't seen anyone nearby to disturb. I went first to hand mine over. I was wearing a mask, while he wasn't, and there was no hand sanitizer in sight. He told me he would rather we left because we were troublemakers, not guests, and repeated that we'd broken the clear rules. I was too shocked to answer. He said again that he'd refund the full amount if we left. If the place is meant for people who want quiet and rest, he shouldn't have accepted our booking.

The place looked nice, but the cleanliness was awful. Cockroaches were wandering around the apartments, so we called reception and, when nobody answered, left that night. We asked for a partial refund and were refused. They only offered us a stay at another time, though we explained it would be inconvenient to come back. The owner was no help, and it took four days of chasing him before he replied. Absolutely avoid.

A quiet spot surrounded by nature, just outside Parma, and a lovely choice for a relaxing weekend, especially for couples. The property is beautiful, and the apartments are small but cute and practical. We were welcomed very warmly. The apartment wasn't especially clean, though, and I can't call the cleanliness impeccable. Also, the person who greeted us wasn't wearing a mask, even though we kept our distance.

The outdoor area is TOP! I spent this weekend there with my boyfriend, had a wonderful time and really got to relax. THANK YOU!
