The restaurant is beautiful, and the pizza was the most delicious in Italy. Great prices and wonderful customer service too. Thank you, we'll surely be back.

The way they handled our booking was enough to put us off coming back. We had reserved dinner for four, but on arrival there was no table for us because the owner had apparently "forgotten" to call and say the room was full of 50 children. They seemed barely concerned about our reaction, and didn’t seem to realize they’d made a mistake. We were told to wait, but when I asked how long, the answer was, "I don't know, half an hour." So we left. They looked like the Dalton brothers!

The grilled meat and local and à la carte wines were good, and the chalet has a warm, welcoming feel, with friendly, patient, helpful staff. It’s in the Molise mountains, with a fantastic landscape around Campitello Matese that makes it a lovely place for a period of total relaxation. The traditional food was excellent too, especially the tasty winter dishes, including homemade pasta prepared in different ways like cavatelli and tagliatelle, as well as polenta.
