Borgo Bucciano

We’ve only been here a few hours, but already feel like part of the family. The hosts have been extraordinary, especially Amanda mama and the whole team. After we came back from a nearby vineyard with a bottle of rosé made from grapes grown on Borgo’s land, they chilled it for us, brought wine glasses and snacks, and set us up on a terrace with a view. Earlier, ‘mama’ cooked us a spectacular lunch, and the wine was delicious. The pool is charming, very clean, and surrounded by lemon trees, with incredible views. We spent the afternoon there, enjoying a much needed pause. Everything feels luxurious, from the hotel and location to the views and rooms, and the details are clearly cared for. It’s felt like a truly first class experience with my best friend. We can’t wait for dinner at the restaurant tonight. Thank you for making this such a special stay.

We had such a lovely stay that we're already looking forward to coming back. The view from the Pino suite is breathtaking, and it's a perfect place to relax and take it all in. The new owners are doing wonderful work on the renovations.

We barely got any sleep, especially when guests in the neighboring units stayed up making noise, and it was hard to find the energy for our daily 50km bike ride. We can't recommend this place to other bikers. It was the biggest disappointment of our Tuscany tour. The apartments look charming and regional from outside, but inside they feel old and badly in need of renovation. The rooms are cramped, especially for three people, and one bed is actually in the kitchen. The mattresses seemed as old as the walls and offered little comfort or support. The walls are thin, so sounds from the other units carry straight through. Never again!

The grounds and setting are inspiring, with wonderful Tuscan views, a quiet pool, and a welcome breeze. Afternoon service at the pool bar was great, and San Miniato is about 10 minutes away. Our room matched the photos. It was basic and a little dated, but clean, comfortable, spacious, and had what we needed. The new air conditioning was much appreciated, the WiFi was good, and the friendly staff could help with a lot of things.
