The spacious family rooms have AC, and the people here are just amazing. It's a family-run hotel where everyone is lovely, and the restaurant is very good. Breakfast was a little disappointing, and with temperatures over 40 degrees in August, I missed having a pool. The location works well as a base for getting around Tuscany, with Villa Sonnino as your starting point.

The room was a good size, with a window on each side that opened for nice airflow. But the hotel is surrounded by trees, so there were mosquitoes in the room and I ended up using the air conditioning. Finding the hotel can be tricky, as it's at the top of a steep gravel path that's easy to miss from the main road. It's a pretty, rustic hotel with modern touches. Communication was a bit difficult because English isn't the staff's first language, though a few key words were enough to get by. The dinner menu is only in Italian. Breakfast is continental and self-service upstairs, but you have to ask for coffee, tea, and milk.

We had a really good stay in this restored villa. The staff were attentive throughout, and we felt genuinely welcome. We were also lucky enough to meet Charlie, the Jack Russell puppy, who's a very good boy :)

The attentive service and the restaurant made dinner and breakfast great. This original 16th-century villa has since been modernized, and being there gives you the feeling of visiting the Medici's.

The staff were courteous, the atmosphere was excellent, and the food was delicious. I'm vegetarian, and they kindly made me a risotto that wasn't on the menu.
