We came in for dinner and Daniel, the GM, showed us around the gardens and vineyards. Dinner was perfect, with plenty of wine from the estate, and the evening ran late enough that finding a taxi home became difficult. Daniel kindly offered to drive us back to our hotel. Such a lovely place, with wonderful staff. Five stars!

We were left to wash hair by the swimming pool because the shower didn't work, and that was just one of many problems. Service was painfully slow: even water or coffee could take more than 35 minutes, and we sometimes had to follow up on food and drinks. When we asked for bread and olives, I chased an hour later and was then told there were no olives. There was only one waiter for all 25 booked rooms, which felt miserly of the owner. We ordered lunch at 2:10pm, checked on it 40 minutes later, and were told the kitchen was closed. When we explained we'd ordered earlier, they said we were lying. Staff even looked at us in disbelief when we asked for basic things like water or coffee.

The staff were awesome, and the grounds are gorgeous. The rooms were a bit dark, though, and some of the showers were awkward to use.
