Good food, too, and the whole place has such a dreamlike feel. It really feels like being in a movie. The staff are extraordinary, and the fairytale experience starts as soon as you're welcomed in. A perfect hotel in the heart of Valpolicella!

We got married at Villa Giona, and Davide, the manager, made such an impression. He's funny, generous, and one of the most charismatic people we've met while travelling. He welcomes you as if the villa were your own home. Denise was recommended by the venue as our wedding planner, and she went above and beyond to bring our welcome day, wedding, and recovery to life. Everyone on the Villa Giona team was just as accommodating. I can't recommend it enough for a wedding or even a holiday stay. A real hidden gem!

We were in town for a nearby wedding, and the hotel worked out perfectly. The service and attention to detail stood out, and the glass of Prosecco at check-in was a lovely touch. David at the front desk was probably the most accommodating person I've ever met. We'd happily recommend the hotel 10/10 and hope to return.

We only managed one night because the hotel was full for the rest of our visit, which is my only regret. The team made us feel so welcome, and the rooms were stunning and comfortable. The whole place has a relaxing, soul-nourishing feel. We don't know when we'll make it back, but we will.

The ceremony was held outdoors on a nearby meadow beneath the open sky, an idyllic setting for an American wedding I had the pleasure of accompanying. Villa Giona is a dream spot for luxurious outdoor weddings in Verona. Its big park is full of Mediterranean plants, old trees, and romantic paths, with so many lovely places for wedding photos. For a destination wedding in Italy, it's a real hidden gem. I'm a wedding photographer and would love to capture more celebrations there. Julia Löffler
