The owners made this a place we’d happily return to. They were warm, helpful, and did what they could to meet our wishes. The property and rooms are lovely, and it’s a romantic spot with everything needed to unwind. A great base in Salento.

A car is definitely useful here: Masseria Monache sits nicely between Brindisi and Lecce, with plenty of beaches and towns within reach. The place itself is a lovely traditional stone building, and the pool and olive tree shade were a treat. We stayed in early July, and the air conditioning kept the room cool. Francesca & Alberto were wonderful hosts, sharing local tips and serving lovely breakfasts, plus other meals if you want them. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay. Francesca welcomed us so warmly, and the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was incredible, and dinner at the Masseria was a real highlight. Francesca’s cooking was amazing. Thank you, Francesca. ❤️🥰

The evening at Masseria Monache was fantastic. Francesca knew so much and hosted us beautifully during the olive oil and wine tasting and dinner. We had a wonderful time, and I’d highly recommend the experience.

We visited in mid August, and Francesca went out of her way to make things work for us as a family. Her recommendations were helpful, and evening wine and conversation made us feel welcome throughout. The family run Masseria has a lovely atmosphere, authentic hospitality, clean and beautiful rooms, and nice features like the high ceilings. Breakfast is indoors by the smaller reception room, since there isn’t much shade for outdoor seating near the dining area. There’s a great pool outside, with a few trees and shaded spots for swimming or relaxing. We also enjoyed the lovely dinner they prepared outdoors. Thanks, francesca, for looking after us. If we return to puglia, we’ll choose this place again. Stephen, Nisha and Naveeno :-)
