Agriturismo Antico Podere la Martinella

We were given a gift basket at check-in, a nice personal touch, and could park right outside our door. The washing machine got used every day, and there was a drying rack for clothes. In the hot summer week I visited, Rossano also lent me a few fans to cool the rooms. I got bitten by mosquitoes, so bring repellent if that's usually a problem for you. Rossano kindly gave me some to use until I could buy more at the COOP in town. The agriturismo is just outside San Quirico d'Orcia, about a five-minute drive in summer heat and mosquitoes, or a 15-minute walk on a nice day. Its central spot in Tuscany makes it easy to drive to Montalcino, Montepulciano, Monticchiello, Bagno Vignoni, Pienza, Cortona and Siena, with the last two a little over an hour away. Rossano also runs Enoteca '443, a small wineshop in San Quirico d'Orcia where you can see the selection and ask for tourist advice about the area.

The local hosts are kind and genuine, and work their land while welcoming travelers. The bathroom was clean, the kitchen had everything I needed, and the WiFi was steady. It's a 10-minute walk from the old city centre, yet the place feels completely tucked away from disruptive civilization. Highly recommend!

Rossano, the owner, was professional and really helpful during my week here. The farmhouse is lovely, with beautiful views and WiFi across the farm. I'd definitely stay again.

I had a great time with the host during my summer 2021 stay, and the flat was fantastic for a typical Tuscany experience.
