Agriturismo Bagnaia

Coming back to Bagnaia after a day out became part of the treat. The rooms and apartments are spacious and comfortable, very clean and kept in excellent order. Even during the July warmth in San Quirico, it felt pleasant indoors in the traditional Tuscan houses. The views from the podere are incredible, especially the sunsets over Val D'Orcia. Giovanna and the other hosts are warm and friendly, and she made sure we had what we needed. The wine tasting was unforgettable. Set among the Tuscan hills, Agriturismo Bagnaia is still close to lovely, underrated San Quirico D'Orcia, the famous Tuscan viewpoints, Pienza and Montalcino. A remarkable place and an unforgettable stay.

The agriturismo itself was lovely, and the wine tasting with Giovanna was a treat. She took us around the vineyards and production area, and served local food, including ham, salami and cheese. All the wines were very good, but Giovanna's warm and friendly welcome was the best part.

After two weeks in Italy, our whole family agreed this winery visit was the highlight of the trip. We stopped there while driving from Sienna to Rome. The owners welcomed us with lovely cheeses, meats and olive oil to enjoy with the delicious wine, and we purchased 3 cans of oil. The views were beautiful too. If we return to Sienna, we'd definitely stay here. A must!

The owners made us feel like family, and their wines were superb. Our apartment was clean and charming, with the countryside around us but town still close by. We enjoyed our stay so much.
