Le Borgianelle

We chose this farmhouse for a family lunch on someone's recommendation, but it fell short of what we expected. There was a strong damp smell as soon as we walked in. The food wasn't anything special: the house starters were seasoned meats of average quality, and the first courses were ordinary. We ordered a steak, but they brought us a different steak, which we decided to keep anyway. The second courses were decidedly poor.

The mixed grill was generous, and the lamb was cooked really well. I also enjoyed the appetizers, especially the cured meats, cheeses, crescia, and chicken livers. The first courses were excellent too. When they're in season, I'd recommend the ricotta ravioli with asparagus sauce. Save room for the homemade desserts, especially the strawberry parfait.

I found this place by chance while I was near Canfaito, and it turned out to be a wonderful discovery. The food was delicious, made with ingredients they grow and cook themselves, and prepared perfectly. The staff were incredibly kind, the place was spotlessly clean, and the agriturismo is surrounded by nature. I couldn't find a single flaw. I highly recommend it, and I'll definitely be back.

The staff were always smiling, kind, and courteous, and the price was great. The setting is lovely, with an intimate feel and a blazing fireplace that gives it the atmosphere of a mountain retreat. The food was excellent: typical Marche dishes made with fresh, genuine ingredients. Worth a visit.
