Hotel L'Esagono

Getting out at checkout was hard enough while I was handling bags and a stroller, but the woman at reception only watched and didn’t open the door or offer help. We also found the hotel difficult to navigate with a stroller, and there was no effort to make things easier. The staff had seemed unfriendly and unwilling to help from the start. At the restaurant, they shamed my young son for not finishing his food. That was completely inappropriate. We were told we couldn’t take coffee back to our room, and couldn’t refill our water bottles anywhere on the property, which was inconvenient and felt needlessly strict. I wouldn’t recommend this place for families, especially anyone with a stroller or wheelchair. It was one of my least welcoming hotel stays, and I wouldn’t come back.

The grounds felt peaceful and beautifully kept, almost like a botanical garden. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and felt like its own little cottage. The hotel sits right by the beach, with its own sun loungers, and San Teodoro’s center is walkable too. We found the food and spa services good value, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I had a wonderful stay and would recommend it.

The only thing I’d change is having more sun beds and umbrellas around the pool. Otherwise, we had great food and service, and the place was clean with lots of greenery and flowers. It’s right beside a small beach, and there’s a free bus to other beaches and the town center. I’ll definitely stay here again.

The pool area was lovely, and I really enjoyed the service. Even after checkout, they let you shower and use the facilities. Our room was nice and clean, and there’s a good restaurant nearby. The beach is a little small, but it works. I would have liked more than just shampoo, perhaps some complimentary water.
