TH San Teodoro - Liscia Eldi Village

We loved the old, authentic feel of the place. The hotel isn’t new, but it’s been so well cared for that it feels warm and special. The whole resort staff were attentive, polite, and courteous. Our room was cleaned daily, the bed was made, and the rubbish was taken out regularly. The cleaners get 10/10 from us. A big thank you as well to the driver who took our luggage and dropped us right outside the room instead of making us carry it. The pool was very clean, and hygiene seemed well looked after throughout the hotel. You do need a swimming cap there. If you haven’t brought one, you can buy it at the hotel boutique for, I think, €3. The restaurant was a highlight: great variety and quality, lovely coffee, fresh fruit, and clean, disinfected tables. I’d say it compares with a five star hotel. There was one uncomfortable moment during dinner, though. We often couldn’t find a table for two at breakfast, so we’d sit at a table for four, as other couples also sat at larger tables without a problem. One evening, we were at a table for four when two ladies asked if they could join us, and we had a nice chat. But another night, just as I started eating, an employee with long hair and glasses, who I think was called Andrea, came over and raised his voice in not very good English, asking why I was sitting alone at a table for four. I apologized and said there were no other places. He kept explaining loudly that there was a table for two somewhere in the lower outdoor area, and asked what he should tell families of four. I felt confused and embarrassed with so many people around, and honestly lost my appetite. I don’t think I’d done anything so terrible. He could have asked politely if I could move if another table was free. That incident was the only unpleasant part of our eight days. I don’t want one person’s behavior to spoil my otherwise lovely impression of the hotel and its many wonderful staff, so I’m still giving it five stars.
