The sea is beautiful, and the view of the yachts is incredible. It’s a well-kept resort, with a friendly team at the bar and a good selection there. The mini market is well-stocked too, though things are a bit pricey.

Around Cala Brandinchi beach, Capo Codacavallo offers three kinds of tourist accommodation: residential, village, and camping. They’re set up in different places and in different ways.

The staff were friendly and quick to respond, but having to pay the full amount all at once went against what the reservation had said. The residence itself is clean, tidy, and well cared for, with the amenities gathered in the central square, though they’re a bit pricey. Steps lead straight down to Salina Bamba beach. It’s okay, but there are better beaches nearby. There’s no shower or even a foot bath to rinse off the salt and sand on the way back. Our studio really needs an update and wasn’t worth the price. There was a bad smell from faulty drains, and sewage backed up into the shower tray, so we had to call a plumber. The kitchen cupboards are dated, the walls are peeling, and the two burners are pretty meager. The sofa beds were very uncomfortable and below standard. The air conditioning worked, but the remote needed careful handling because its display was hard to read. The little oven might manage one croissant at a time.

It’s a beautiful, secluded spot and really quiet, which suited me for getting away from stressful work. We had space for four, but it felt a little cramped, and the shower was too small unless you’re very thin. There’s a bar, small supermarket, barber, and the other basics on the property. Everything was fine, and I think I’ll come back.
