Agriturismo Fattoria Aquilone

Up on a hilltop, this is a fantastic place to stay. The hosts are lovely and happy to share plenty about the roughly 500 hectares they own and farm.

A beautiful little town and a stay at a high standard.

The place has a lot of potential and is worth visiting, but it felt as though it was barely being used. We spent two nights in the Gianna apartment. Its garden is very spacious, but there's no lighting, so in summer it's only really usable in the evening, since the day is spent at the pool. The pool is nice, but it wasn't well maintained. It was full of insects and leaves, and I cleaned it myself on both days. The room could have been cleaner too, though I can accept some rough edges in a tiny village surrounded by nature. What bothered me most was the gap between what was advertised and what was available. Social media offered tastings of their products by reservation, but there was no service at all, including breakfast. We were told they couldn't provide it during the week of August because of staff shortages. I think guests should be told in advance, since people arrive expecting services that aren't there. If we'd known, I could have chosen somewhere else. I'm sorry, because the place has great potential, but in my experience it was all handled carelessly.

The owners are attentive and always available. This relaxing agriturismo is in a medieval village, surrounded by nature, and is a wonderful place to spend a vacation. I'd recommend it without hesitation.
