Albergo Residenziale Menhirs

We’re here with our two children and have really enjoyed the leafy grounds. All the trees and plants make it a lovely place to unwind, even on hot sunny days. The owner and staff are kind and helpful. When I lost my wallet with all our documents at the beach, the owner came straight with me to look for it and used his local connections to help. We found it! We’d happily recommend this place.

The room was very poorly maintained. The soap in the bathroom had run out when we arrived, and it took three days to refill it. The kitchen equipment was old, dirty, and battered, with oily pans and badly scratched Teflon ones. The cheap plastic cover on the dinner table and the dirty sofa covers were a letdown too. We had the separate Villa, which looked great in the photos but was well below average in person. Getting to the second bedroom means climbing a narrow staircase, and its bed is right under the roof, really uncomfortable for an adult. We stayed six days, and a simple cot for our baby would have cost 15 euros a day, or 90 euros in total. They did ask if we wanted one, but only then explained the charge. Breakfast was very good, though smoking was allowed at nearby tables, so we had to eat while smelling Marlboro smoke. For what was offered, the place was far too expensive. We wouldn’t recommend it or return.

The people working here are the real highlight. They made us feel like part of the family from the moment we arrived, even though we’d booked at the last minute. We also had a lovely authentic dinner. It’s a quiet, remote spot away from the crowds, but still handy for getting to interesting places in the area. The grounds are beautiful, and our room had all the comforts we could think of. A great place to enjoy nature without giving up comfort.

If a peaceful getaway is what you’re after, this place fits. It’s a typical beach hotel, with comfortable rooms and a basic kitchenette. Breakfast is okay and the service is good. The pool is clean and nice, though it was too cold to swim when we were there. There’s also a good playground for little kids and toddlers. You can borrow bikes to ride to the beach or the nearest town, but they’re not in great shape, and the roads are dirt.
