Garden Toscana Resort

I went to an event at Garden Toscana Resort recently, and the catering was excellent. It's very close to the sea, with well-appointed apartments among the pine trees. The place is exceptionally well managed, and the facilities work really well for large events.

The spa pools weren't warm, and the staff told me they needed to adjust the temperature. They said it would take around two hours to warm up, so I couldn't enjoy them at all, despite paying extra to use the spa. On top of that, the room was old and smelled of mold. A light was broken, towels were missing, and there was no bathroom amenities kit. The room wasn't ready. I had to go to reception for towels, the kit, which I never got, and to ask them to fix the light. Nobody even apologized for any of it.

There was so much for the family to do, and the food was great. The dining room staff were excellent, and every person we met was friendly and welcoming. They really put in the effort to keep guests happy. From sports and the game room to the restaurant, everyone was top notch. Highly recommend this hotel!

The kids' program was a huge part of our week in August 2023. Our boys, ages 4 and 8, don't speak Italian, but they ran to mini club every day, excited for the activities. They swam in the sea, rode a pony, baked biscotti, went to Luna park, and made new friends. Andreo, Matteo, and the whole animation team were fantastic with them. Staff from the animation team would wave and greet the boys by name wherever they saw them, day or night. The sea was beautiful and warm every day, and the beach was pristine and clean, with small waves and shallow water. Both boys grew much more confident in the water, partly thanks to mini club. While they were there, we enjoyed group cycling each day with Christina and Massimo. Tennis with Sara was another highlight. I'd never improved so much on a holiday before, and she also coached my son and wife, who both made a lot of progress. Roberto and Vlad from the sports team made arrangements simple and quick. Renting a bicycle from Thomas was easy and fun, though allow more than an hour for a coastal ride: the first Kilometers run along the road beside the nature park and beach. Food was really good Italian cooking, with healthy choices as well as lots of pasta, pizza, cakes, and other treats. There were themed evenings, including seafood night, and plenty of choice. Staff greeted us warmly and served the food however we liked without any fuss. The fresh espresso in the morning was always good. After dinner, the white bar team made excellent cocktails at very good prices. We enjoyed the mini disco, theatre show, and live music. Peter Pan deserves a special mention, especially the actors playing Peter and Wendy. Our room was clean, comfortable, and functional, with plenty of space and a balcony where we could relax. The air conditioning worked well, and the room service was fast and did a great job every day. We were shown how to unload the car by reception on arrival, then staff labeled our things and golf carts brought them to our room. We had lots of small bags and loose toys, so fewer, bigger bags would have worked better. The hotel is spread across several buildings, but nothing is too far to walk. The layout feels like a little village. There's no lift, so rooms above the ground floor are reached by stairs. There's also a very good shop with things you might have forgotten, as well as beach toys and cosmetics. From the friendly smiles when we arrived, we felt relaxed, and that feeling stayed with us. We've booked for next year already, and we're counting down the 358 days until we return to this little oasis by the sea.
