Villa La Cavaliera

We had a calm week in a clean apartment with new furniture. The beach is very close, and the center is a five-minute drive away. The only small issue was that the shower pressure was a bit weak. Otherwise, a beautiful slope.

We chose the property partly because it welcomes pets, and we were glad to bring our European cat. Elisabetta, the manager, was kind, smiling, and helpful. We also appreciated having a parking spot inside the property, since finding a space on the surrounding streets would have been difficult, especially on weekends. Guests could use loungers and umbrellas at the free beach right in front. Mr. Fausto took them down each morning and brought them back at the end of the day. The area was quiet and peaceful, even when more people arrived in the final days. The center of San Vincenzo is a little far, though still walkable if you enjoy a longer stroll. We stayed in a spacious two-room apartment with a large balcony, shaded by lush trees that softened the afternoon heat. There’s no sea view from the first floor, but the balcony itself is lovely. More comfortable outdoor seating, perhaps a sofa, would make it easier to enjoy. A dishwasher would be a real help for people who cook and wash dishes regularly. The dishes should be checked too, especially the breakfast cups, pans, and knives. The hair dryer was awkward to hold because it has no proper handle, and the plastic gets very hot. Its weak airflow makes drying take a long time, and it overheats until it’s practically unusable. The washing machine programs are hard to read from wear, and a 3 euro token seems a bit much on top of detergent costs. The first token is free. It might be better to provide detergent, as self-service laundries do, or put washing machines in the apartments. Finally, the rooms are spacious, but the furnishings could be more refined. I don’t mean expensive furniture, just pieces that suit the space better.

The sea and sandy beach were clean, and umbrellas and loungers were available. The property has a pool and indoor parking, which made things convenient. It’s in a quiet, shady area very close to the beach. The place was very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I had a really relaxing week.

I don’t know why the owners haven’t added an awning, since the other balconies have awnings or shade from plants. The upper-floor apartments have a sea view.
