We only stayed one night while passing through, and I wish we hadn't. The view earned the one star. The room was so dated it would almost have been funny if the price hadn't been so high. Reception was cluttered with junk, and cigarette smoke from staff smoking by the door drifted inside. The shower was a cold trickle, and breakfast was just some shop-bought cake. When we left, the receptionist was brusque and acted like letting us stay was a favor. Avoid!

The staff made me regret staying. The waitresses were very young and rude, and when someone complained about the food, they started ignoring them. Our table waited 45 minutes for dessert. The food was bad and cheap, bought at a nearby supermarket rather than made in house. It felt as if the owners assumed tourists would eat anything. The hotel is well located, not far from the centre of San Vito, and at first it can seem like a lovely family place. But after a few days, the problems showed: old, slightly damp rooms where wet clothes were hard to dry, and bathroom water with very low pressure that took 10 minutes to get warm, not hot. I don't recommend it. There are surely much better places in the area for the same price.

The hotel is pretty, which is the only reason I haven't given it one star. The mattress sank in random spots, and I couldn't sleep properly all night. I also booked and paid through an online booking service, but the hotel charged me twice. For that price, there are better options nearby.

The hostess welcomed us warmly and treated us like family. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with the age of the building reflected in them. It's a place with a rich history and an excellent stop if you're heading to Austria.

A quiet, family-owned place with good connections to summer and winter attractions. The restaurant was quite good, serving simple, genuine dishes.
