Great staff, a great place, and a great price.

Bright, tasteful rooms, spotless throughout, and such a peaceful atmosphere that it was easy to fully relax. Romina and her enthusiastic young grandson Giovanni run the property with real warmth and skill, and their courtesy and helpfulness were impeccable. At the foot of the Dolomites, the views are breathtaking and the setting has a special feel. My short stay left me enchanted. Five stars are well deserved, and I’ll gladly return.

For several summers now, we’ve chosen Barancio for our holidays. It’s a lovely Alpine chalet style property in a quiet, green mountain setting. Our room is comfortable and is cleaned and tidied every day. Mrs. Romina and her family are especially kind and courteous, and make us feel completely at ease, almost as if we were at home. We hope to come back next year!

Mrs. Romina is a thoughtful, attentive host who’s always happy to offer suggestions for meals, excursions, places to visit or anything else you need, without being intrusive. Her promising young nephew, Giovanni, helps her run this delightful hotel in San Vito di Cadore. There are eight mountain-style rooms, with overnight accommodation and a generous breakfast with sweet and savory choices. The hotel is clean and tasteful, and wonderfully quiet, especially at night. Outside, the garden has deckchairs and loungers for relaxing. It’s away from traffic and surrounded by greenery. A lovely experience we’d happily repeat, highly recommended.
