Monte Monaco Bed and Breakfast

The owners even drove us to the bus stop after our stay, which was especially thoughtful since we didn’t have a car. We were a couple, but the spacious rooms and family-friendly feel would also suit families. Monte Monaco B&B was spotless, with outstanding service and a comfortable room, clean bathroom, and peaceful setting that made for a good night’s sleep. It’s near the mountains and just a short walk from the beautiful beach and restaurants, so the location works well for nature lovers too. Breakfast with local flavors added a lot to the stay, and there’s a convenient parking lot for anyone driving. A real gem for comfort, cleanliness, and location. Highly recommend.

The mountain and sea views were unforgettable, and Assunta spoke English, which was wonderful for us as Americans. Breakfast was homemade, with local croissants that were some of the best I’ve had. I felt right at home here, and it was my favorite place to stay in Sicily by far. It’s hard to put into words how much we loved it. I can’t wait to come back!

Assunta and Carmelo are wonderful hosts, and you can tell how much heart they put into making the stay lovely. It felt like visiting family. Every morning brought a lovely breakfast, including Assunta’s delicious homemade cakes and fruit from their garden. The place is spotless and has modern facilities, including a great shower with natural light. Our room also had a big patio for drying clothes and beach towels. Assunta gave us excellent sightseeing and restaurant suggestions and helped arrange parking and facilities at the beach. The location is quiet and peaceful. Even after we checked out, she went out of her way to make several phone calls for me so I could speak Italian.

The homemade cakes at breakfast were a real treat, and the Italian breakfast itself was superb. Signora Assunta welcomed us warmly and made us feel like royalty, as did her husband, Signore Carmelo. She speaks English very well and shared her cakes with us and the other guests each morning. Our spacious room was modern and elegant, with a comfortable double bed, a large bathroom and shower, and a private terrace. It was very clean and neat. Guests can also relax in the shaded area at the end of the large garden patio or sunbathe on the roof terrace. The residence blends traditional Sicilian architecture with modern design and sits almost at the foot of Monte Monaco, which looks striking from a distance. The best part of San Vito lo Capo Beach is only a five-minute walk away, and the center is two minutes farther. There's a large parking lot right in front, which was very convenient since we arrived by car. For us, Monte Monaco was the best place to stay in San Vito lo Capo. Signora Assunta and Signore Carmelo made it feel like home in Sicily, and we'll definitely come back.
