Residence Vitorno

The beds were old and uncomfortable, the linens had no fresh scent, and the curtains were dirty. We only used the tiny bathtub for a dropper, despite having booked three days. We stayed with friends and our one-and-a-half-year-old, but the property was poorly kept, dirty, and never sanitized. There was sand on the floor, a stained toilet seat that hadn't been bleached, and a terrible shower with descaler still sitting unused by the faucet. We avoided the kitchen completely, even the teaspoons, and bought plastic items instead. I definitely wouldn't come back. Rating: 1.

The mattress was comfortable, and Capriccio, the fabulous pastry shop nearby, was a bright spot. The nine days here were otherwise hard going. Since we were out early and back late, we managed, but coming back to the apartment wasn't pleasant. It was very dirty and smelled bad. We had to buy degreaser as soon as we arrived to clean the bathroom, where the palette was splattered with hair. Hair was also on the bed and all over the place. The towels were stained and hairy, so we used them as mats outside the shower and relied on disposable tablecloths. I won't even get into the refrigerator, which was sticky, so we used nothing inside it. The heater made so much noise that sleeping early after a tiring day wasn't possible. When it rained, you had to watch for drips while walking under the air conditioner, even though it was off. We swept the floor, took out the rubbish, and left the bathroom cleaner than we found it. The welcome was unprofessional, and when we left, we weren't greeted at all. I work in tourism, from restaurants to rentals, and this place needs a thorough review. Several other guests had similar complaints while we were there. Customers shouldn't have to pay for bad service.

I was there for three days. The room was pretty nice, but the so-called double bed was two singles pushed together, and my request to have it changed went nowhere. The floor was dirty, there was dust everywhere, and the shower was really uncomfortable. The cleanliness needs work, and I'd fix that shower.

The location is the one good thing. We booked a first-floor apartment but were put on the ground floor instead. When we asked why, they said reservations were assigned randomly, which wasn't true. We showed that our booking was for the first floor, but it turned into an argument, and nobody helped us settle into the accommodation we'd booked. We tried to leave, but they wouldn't return either the rent or the cleaning fee for the four days, both already paid, so we're still here as I write this. The room is spacious but moldy, and the problem-solving is zero.
