Sikania

San Vito is a great beach town, and what I liked was that it felt more Italian than some of the famous spots. We never felt like we were in a tourist trap. There are lots of restaurants, and the eight we tried were amazing. The Sicilian wine was just wow. I hope the town keeps its Italian vibe and doesn't become focused on foreign visitors and tourists. We loved the experience and will certainly be back. We stayed from August 30th, 2025, to September 5th, 2025, and were happy with our choice from the start. The staff were the best part of this hotel. Everyone, from the three people at the front desk to the breakfast team, was incredibly kind and helpful. They felt like people who owned the hotel and loved looking after guests. Our room was basic, but we quickly stopped noticing that because everything was so well cared for and clean. You can see the thought put into the little details. It was spacious, the bathroom had what we needed, the bed was comfortable, the A/C worked well, and we had a balcony. My wife and I really enjoyed it. Check-in was quick and efficient even though we arrived at 11:30am. The front desk employee didn't speak English, but was eager to understand us and explain things. They were very kind and helpful, and we had no trouble understanding the instructions and recommendations for San Vito. Breakfast was a simple Italian spread, but the quality was great: croissants, jam, cheese, cereals, and juices. The hotel has its own spot near beach entrance 9. Get the ticket at the front desk and pay there, otherwise you may have to walk back. It was a really nice spot, so we didn't need to get up early to find a place. The walk to the beach is at least 10 minutes, but mostly along the town's main street, which is pleasant and lined with shops and places to eat. The town may not look as beautiful or modern as other places in Italy, but it felt more Italian to us.
