A classic old building.

We went back last Sunday for the fair's special Christmas edition, after visiting the free vintage toy fair a few months earlier. The first edition wasn't bad, but this one was disappointing. Apart from a new room with American dolls, it was much the same as before, maybe with even fewer stalls, and there was nothing Christmassy about it. With all the hype, what a shame.

The villa has a lovely loggia, and inside there are rooms with frescoes and fireplaces. I came for an "Aperitivo con l'autore" evening, and it's nice to see the owners opening the property to the public and bringing it back to life. Being in these old buildings always makes me feel connected to the area.

Such a magical place, definitely worth going to see.

A little gem to discover at the Spring Fair. The original 16th-century floors are still there, and the Bacchanalian Hall is beautiful. Its frescoes by Fasolo show Bacchus being drawn by satyrs and surrounded by nymphs.
