Hotel Eridano

It was a peaceful stay, and I enjoyed it. The staff are friendly and easy to approach.

My room had a balcony, which works well for smokers. The minibar seemed reasonably priced, though I didn't use it. Breakfast was nice and enough, and staff were polite and helpful. The hotel was clean and tidy, even though there was some spider web in the toilet. They provided a small toothbrush and toothpaste set in case you didn't bring your own, plus a small hand soap and shower gel. The rooms are a little old-fashioned but clean. I could hear pigeons sometimes, but it wasn't bad.

I had one of the worst experiences here last night, and I absolutely don't recommend this place. We were a large group having a farewell dinner, with children, teachers, and parents. I realized my diamond bracelet was missing. The diamonds are tiny, so this isn't about the cost; it was a very precious gift. I was desperate and asked the waiter to help look for it. He told me to find it myself, so someone advised me to speak to the owner. The owner first accused me of being a troublemaker because my son had a stomach ache after drinking a Coke. I thought it might be the high caffeine, but I never said they were unclean or complained about it. They asked, and I simply answered. Later I asked about my risotto because I hadn't received it, and apparently that was another problem I caused. Then she looked at my hands and said I wasn't wearing any diamonds. When I pointed out my diamond ring, she said it must be silver. At first I didn't understand what she meant, but later I realized she was bluntly saying I had made the whole story up. The owner was rude, unfair, and judgmental. She threatened and yelled at me, and lied when other people stepped in. I felt she was racist because I'm Arab and veiled. If you're used to luxury hotels where clients are treated respectfully, properly, and sincerely, this is definitely not the place for you. If the lack of hotels in this neighborhood leaves you with no other choice, don't bring precious things. They won't be helpful anyway. Arabs, stay away!

It was clean and tidy, and breakfast was okay. The hotel wasn't very crowded and had a nice open area in the middle of the building.
