Appartamento Villa Nisapiro' Sannicola

Such a beautiful place to stay.

The main issue for us was the price. We paid €350 in cash for three nights, and utilities were waived only because our stay was short. For a week at the beach, the studio apartment itself could be fine, but that price felt excessive for what was offered. We booked the “Fichi d'India” room expecting an apartment, then found out on arrival that it was a studio. The description does call it an apartment, and does list a large living area, an easy-to-open Murphy bed, a fully equipped gas kitchen, fridge-freezer, electric oven, dishes, cable TV, and air conditioning. Still, it’s vague about the layout. The photos show the studio, but never include the kitchen and bed together, and the pool is pictured from an angle that makes it look built-in even though it’s removable. The patio also needs better upkeep, as the weeds were overgrown. In my view, the description and photos were deliberately unclear about the room’s layout to justify a higher price.

We love staying here and have now returned to Villa Nisapiró for a second year. It’s well placed for Gallipoli and the lovely beaches, and the apartment is clean, cared for, and has everything we need. We especially like the private, spacious patio, with its big dining table and loungers for looking at the stars. The pool is bigger than last year and a refreshing place to cool down. Barbara and Luigi are kind, welcoming, and attentive to both their guests and the environment. They’re always ready to help while still giving you space, and it’s a pleasure to chat with them. The barbecue area is well set up for grilling or baking pizza and bread in the wood-fired oven. The natural surroundings are a real treasure: olive and almond trees, palms, prickly pears, caper bushes, and pink peppercorns. The free-roaming chickens lay delicious eggs, and Lolita and Luna, the dog and cat, are friendly without being intrusive. A sea breeze brings some relief on hot days. We were surrounded by the Salento countryside, with a breathtaking view and the sea only a five-minute drive away. The owners were very kind, and our room was both comfortable and spotlessly clean. It’s a truly enchanting place, and we’ll definitely return.
