The staff were great throughout, and Giovanni, who welcomed us, was especially friendly, helpful, and kind. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choice for different tastes. Our room and the villa were clean and comfortable, and the pool water was perfectly clean as well. We had a relaxing, amazing stay at Dimora Relais Excelsa and enjoyed every minute.

We chose Relais Excelsa carefully for a 17-day stay in the second half of August, with two families in two triple rooms, and it met and even surpassed what we expected. Gallipoli itself was crowded and poorly managed at that time of year, but this B&B is away from the center and practically by the sea, which was the main reason for our holiday. We booked umbrellas, loungers, and parking at Capirigna beach, about a 15-minute walk or 3-minute drive away. It's one of the better organized beaches nearby and popular with young people. It was a bit pricey, though Relais Excelsa guests got a welcome 25% discount. The villa sits in greenery. When the gate closed behind us, it felt like entering a quieter world, with nature and cicadas. The rooms are spartan, but the bathrooms are lovely, with large showers, and everything was clean and in excellent condition. The pool was well maintained in its own quiet, private corner. We hardly used it because we preferred Puglia's wonderful sea. We also appreciated the yoga classes offered by the property. Breakfast was served with warmth and courtesy every day. Some things were made on-site, including fresh cakes, while others came from the nearby artisan bakery, such as delicious sweet wine tarallini and the ever-present pasticciotti. I especially appreciated the savory corner, with hard-boiled or scrambled eggs and bacon daily, filled breads, and always-fresh cured meats and cheeses. There was also a basket of seasonal fruit, including the essential figs. Five stars well earned for the property and its management.

The seafront setting is beautiful, and the location is handy for getting around. They even offer bicycles for exploring the city center. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room faced the pool, and the walls didn't block much sound. We often heard the pool robot and the people in the next room. I still highly recommend the place.

The staff were so friendly that we felt at home, and the breakfast was fantastic. We stayed here a week ago and everything was just right, from the clean room to the beautiful, well-maintained pool. There was covered parking, too. My wife and I would definitely come back.
