Apartment Romantico is nice, but it can get pretty noisy, especially on weekend nights. The large restaurant directly underneath the apartment on the ground floor was loud. On our last night, the restaurant staff spent more than an hour moving tables and chairs after midnight, making a lot of noise. We called to ask them to respect sleeping hours, but nothing changed.

A lovely place to spend a holiday in Puglia. Villa Starace is nicely decorated and very comfortable, and it was just right for relaxing.

The only thing I regretted was not staying longer, and we'll make up for that next time. It felt like a bit of luxury, and you really do get what you pay for. We stayed in the Rosmarino apartment, I think that was its name, and it was spacious, very clean, and had loads of room. The European decor was right up our street, as a Scot and an American. My wife loved the historic feel of the surroundings, while the kids had room to run around the garden and kick a ball. They were soon on their devices too, and the WiFi worked well. There were plenty of seats and restaurants close by, so gelato or a great pizza was never far away. We went to vecchio Camino in San Nicola and I'd definitely recommend it. Get the steak with arugula and tomatoes. We brought the kids for a peaceful staycation and ended up feeling like we were in heaven. The villa was a beautiful getaway, and I highly recommend it to anyone who feels like they deserve a little luxury. We noticed a swimming pool was being built, so hopefully we'll get to swim in those lovely surroundings next time. ARRIVADERCI VILLA STARACE FROM THE CAPALDIS

We had a really relaxing stay in early August, and the property was beautifully kept, spotlessly clean, and had a big, carefully tended garden with fruit trees. There were four adults in the Rosmarino apartment, which had two double bedrooms with their own bathrooms, a kitchenette, and a spacious dining room. We also had a small but comfortable outdoor patio where we ate breakfast and dinner. The atmosphere was quiet and comfortable. The location made it easy to visit beaches north and south of Gallipoli, all the way to the Maldives of Salento. Lecce is about 30 minutes away, Otranto 45 minutes, and Santa Maria di Leuca 45 minutes. Supermarkets are very close. It's a top-notch place and would be our first choice if we came back. Highly recommended!
